Oti-5000 Series USB Transparent Functional Device Controller

The OTi-5000 is a single chip, high-performance and cost-effective USB2.0 Mass Storage Class Peripheral controller targeted for applications of the medium drive sharing between computers or systems. The design complies with USB High Speed Specification (480Mb/s), Version 2.0.

The OTi-5000 Integrates two USB 2.0 transceivers with dynamic feedback control, stable clock slew-rate control which can reduce the EMI and independent of external loading. A Phase Lock Loop (PLL) is embedded in,, providing all clocks needed in this controller. It requires an external clock operating at 12MHz.

The OTi-5000 has two integrated USB interfaces to connect two computers or systems. It allows one computer to share its medium drives resource to the other computer or system. This controller is mainly aimed at sharing the medium drive which has been already installed in the computer such like a ODD(Optical Disc Drive).

The OTi-5000 could link the ODD of local computer and enumerate itself as a USB Optical Disc Drive(CD/DVD/BD) for the remote computers or system. Full ODD functionality could be corresponding to the simulated one.

The corresponding software has been available for operating the drive sharing. It could be operated on most Windows platform like Windows Vista, Windows 7, Win XP, and Win2000.

The OTi-5000 is available in cost-saving 64-pin LQFP (7mm X 7mm) package.
